Glory and thanksgiving to the Lord God our Father! He provided for us and other people through our ministry.

Pieter personally ministered to at least 19,000 people through e-mentoring, Newsflash e-mails, sms messages, and JESUS-Film presentations.

Through The Mentor Center, the team of 10 trained SA e-mentors, Magdaleen included, responded to South African requests received on all the international Power-To-Change web pages. Through hard work and commitment, they did 2,342 mentoring emails in which they prayed for and came alongside people in empathy and support.

Pieters health

Praise the Lord for 100% recovery after the 3 operations Pieter had in 2015. Torn bicep, foot repair operation, as well as prostate removal because of cancer - Regular psa blood tests show 0 counts.

The painting by George Frederic Watts shows a female allegorical figure of Hope. Hope is traditionally identifiable through the attribute of an anchor, but Watts took a more original approach. In his painting, she is depicted sitting on a globe, blindfolded, clutching a wooden lyre with only one string left intact. She sits in a hunched position, with her head leaning towards the instrument, perhaps so she can hear the faint music she can make with the sole remaining string. According to Watts, Hope need not mean expectancy. It suggests here rather the music which can come from the remaining chord. The desolate atmosphere is emphasised by Wattss soft brushwork, creating a misty, ethereal scene, in tones of green, brown and grey.

The painting was the subject of a lecture by Dr Frederick G. Sampson in Richmond, Virginia, in the late 1980s, who described it as a study in contradictions. The lecture was attended by Jeremiah Wright and inspired him to give a sermon in 1990 on the subject of Hope – with her clothes in rags, her body scarred and bruised and bleeding, her harp all but destroyed and with only one string left, she had the audacity to make music and praise God … To take the one string you have left and to have the audacity to hope … thats the real word God will have us hear from this passage and from Watts painting. Having attended the sermon, Barack Obama later adopted the phrase audacity of hope as the title for his 2004 Democratic National Convention keynote address, and as the title of his second book.

New Churches in SA

It is Campus Crusade for Christ (CCCSA) vision to help establish 21,600 new churches and religious communities in the nine provinces of South Africa by 2020.
CCC in the US appropriated funds to buy Jesus Film Equipment for each district in each province in South Africa, and after training, available to church leaders in the various districts.
