It all started middle July 2008 with a snow hunt. After being in KwaZulu Natal for 6 weeks, it was good to drive back home to Kleinmond (Western Cape). I was filled with joy, not only to be going home, but also enjoying the beautiful surroundings as nature unfolds itself into an unbelievable landscape - no wonder it is called the Garden Route.

Fynbos all over…
rolling hills covered with a yellow carpet of canola flowers in full bloom… mountain tops covered with a white blanket of snow… For a person growing up in Gauteng for more than 54 years, this was a very special blessing. Armed with cameras and tripod, Magdaleen and I went on a snow hunt the following day.
