What happened during 2018?

During 2018 we ministered to at least 25 459 people through prayer letters, emails, sms messages and JESUS-Film presentations. We praise God for 9 300 sessions where people globally visited our web page www.hope365.co.za for Spiritual help.

Through the ‘Mentor Centre’ of Power-To-Change we respond and mentor many incoming requests of all the international Power-To-Change web pages. During December holiday season Pieter did an average of 60+ mentoring requests per week from mainly Hindu people of East Asia (India).

Examples of the variety of e-mentoring requests we received:

Devastating fires – Betty’s Bay & Kogelberg Mountains, January 2019

An illegally fired flare early New Year’s morning led to a devastating fire which burned nearly 3 weeks in Kogelberg mountains and Betty’s Bay. At one stage, 52 vehicles were counted with 226 fire-fighters and 8 choppers doing active fire fighting with assistance of 8 helitec teams. Over 40 000 hectares of land were destroyed. In Betty’s Bay, 41 houses were destroyed completely, 28 partially damaged. Many families are left with only the clothes they had on - everything burned down! A friend of us sustained burns on 69% of his body as he ran through the flames to look for his dogs in their burning house. Working-on-Fire teams from different areas and provinces battled day and night to extinguish the raging fires. Kleinmond City Hall (and in Betty’s Bay) were used to shelter and serve the tired, brave firemen and –women. Volunteers (Magaleen included), served the teams with shelter, blankets & pillows, toiletries, meals, medical aid and more. The moment a need arise, it was communicated by the volunteer support team through WhatsApp, and within minutes local people would start coming in with items. At one stage the whole of Kleinmond ran out of bananas, Energade, Bar One and some other items. People spontaneously drove to Hermanus and Somerset-West to buy supplies to donate!! This is a living testimony of the unity, love and enthusiasm on ground level between people of all races!!!!!
